1. Upholding Transparency and Accountability
Members must maintain transparency and accountability throughout their work, ensuring that their reports are valued and accepted by the committee.
2. Accurate Reporting
Members must report accurately on their field assessments, providing firsthand information for ratification, verification, and transmission to relevant authorities.
3. National Interest First
Members must prioritize the nation's interest above all else, contributing to nation-building without compromising the committee's integrity.
4. Triangle of Work Process:
The committee's work process will involve federal, state, and local government engagement to ensure holistic coverage of activities across Nigeria.
5. Work Schedule and Mutual Respect
Members must adhere to work schedules and maintain mutual respect for one another, upholding the committee's key values.
6. Compliance with Rules
Members must comply with the committee's rules, with non-compliance leading to potential expulsion after a fair trial.
7. Working within the Ambit of the Law
Members must operate within the bounds of the law, monitoring government projects at national, sub-national, and local levels to ensure value for money expended.
The overwhelming yearning of the people is for purposeful leadership, addressing all manner of issues and challenges, and creating a society where leaders take responsibility for fixing societal problems and making it a better place to live. Having public officeholders as heads of institutions in trust for the citizenry, and making these institutions work better to achieve greater goals, is one significant aspect that has endeared the CSOs Budget Implementation Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (CBIAMEC), to do what she doing to help society progress.
